The Moving Body–Moving Image Biennial Festival gives voice to social and social justice themes in the hybrid form off dance filming, known as ScreenDance. The Festival was founded in 2018 by Gabri Christa, who is also the curator.

The third edition of the Moving Body–Moving Image Festival focuses on the MOVING BODY with DISABILITIES and its representation on Screen, and will take place in Spring 2022. The hybrid festival features film screenings, installations, a panel and guest speakers and takes place on-line and at Barnard College of Columbia University in NYC.

The Festival will have 3 parts:

  • March 28th-April 3rd: Live Installation at the Barnard College Movement Lab (no tickets required -- drop in only)
  • April 3rd: Main Live Screening Event at Barnard College (tickets required)
  • April 4th-April 11th: Online Screening access to all Festival films on the Moving Body-Moving Image Festival website (no tickets required)
