Location: The Movement Lab (Barnard College, Milstein Lower Level LL020) Even When You Stand Still is an interdisciplinary work exploring home as an irrational and irrevocable condition that collapses time and place. How can one fill the gaps of things forgotten in old homelands, physical or abstract? What does it mean to be tied to these homelands? I am looking to excavate into the intimate depths of desire, identity, and ancestry, in the midst of grief and laceration. Story and sense and image and movement offer answers and ask questions simultaneously. Many generations reach for a shared truth, in perpetual search for grounding amidst disorientation. Is this grounding to be found in memory, the air, the body? ------------- To visit, please RSVP at least 24 hours before the event. We will coordinate your entry through the main entrance (3009 Broadway).  Capacity in the lab is capped at 40 audience members. Attendees who have RSVP'd before the event will have priority, and admission will be determined on a first come first serve basis on arrival. If you RSVP before the event but arrive late, we reserve the right to give your spot to someone on the waitlist.  Image Lynn Wilcox (she/any pronouns) is a dancer, choreographer, poet, and writer born and raised in Minnesota, now in New York City.
