Movement Lab

Spring 2026

Developing Works in Creative Technology

From our Spring Artist-in-Residence, María José Contreras, to our nine person Student Artist-in-Residence (SAiR) cohort, the Movement Lab will be producing dedicated and original work, drawing from interdisciplinary thought and practices.

Student Residency Cohort Showcases – March Through May

As we move into the second portion of the residency, our student artists will showcase their work from March to the beginning of May. Keep an eye out for their events, primarily throughout the month of April. There will be one to two pieces a week, consistently until the end of the semester.

Course Collaborations and Programming

This spring, we’re excited to collaborate with select courses that utilize the lab’s unique space. Please welcome: AI & Photography with Professor Alexey Yurenev, Live Coding “Algoraves” with Professor Mark Santolucito, "Mima: Memory in Motion" Project with Professor Nathan Gorelick, Music, Architecture + The Body with Marlon J. Davis, and Translating the Animal with Professor Hana Worthen and Professor Chisa Hidaka.

You can connect with us through Open Lab hours, our Stillness Lab on select Wednesdays from 1–2 PM, and events. Stay updated by subscribing to our newsletter and following us on Instagram.
