Georgia Michalovic is a relatively new addition to the Barnard Movement Lab, having arrived in NYC in 2019. She graduated magna cum laude as a biology major from Wheaton College. During that time she examined the intersectionality of health through premed course work, independently directed healthcare research on the student experience, and explorations of human movement via athletics and dance. Rather than taking the more traveled path of medical school, she has committed herself to learning more about movement, health and creativity. Intentional movement has been a consistent focus of Georgia's life whether climbing mountains, dancing, long jumping or swinging from the chandelier as a two year old. Georgia can be reached by email at gmichalo@barnard.edu for questions regarding use of the movement lab, student programming, and department collaborations.
